Ghost Story (aka Circle of Fear)
Summary: Anthology horror series Executive Produced by William Castle. Aired 1972-1973.

Bloch: “The story I concocted was, in a sense, a modernized version of the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. Its witch was a kindly grandmother whose cookies, properly prepared, took on the powers of voodoo dolls; harming them brought harm to the humans they were molded to resemble.”
Episode:
  • House of Evil (Season 1, episode 8; airdate: Nov 10, 1972); an original teleplay by Bloch (working title “The Doll’s House”)

Note: Originally titled Ghost Story, with Sebastian Cabot as a character introducing the episode’s tale, the series was revamped mid-season due to low ratings. Retitled to Circle of Fear, Cabot’s role as host was eliminated.
