Night Gallery
Summary: Anthology television series hosted by Rod Serling. Airing 1970-1973, Serling’s follow-up to his acclaimed Twilight Zone, Gallery presented stories involving horror and the supernatural.

Bloch: “I tried to stick as closely as I possibly could to the original [Logoda's Heads], because I know very well from firsthand experience how authors resent having their material drastically changed. About the only touch that I added was to invent my own African language for the native characters.”—Rod Serling’s Night Gallery: An After-Hours Tour by Scott Skelton and Jim Benson

Episode:
  • Logoda’s Heads (Season 2, episode 14; airdate: Dec 29, 1971); teleplay by Bloch adapted from the short story by August Derleth.

Note: Bloch wrote an adaptation for “Out of the Aeons”—from a story by Hazel Heald / H. P. Lovecraft (who revised); it went unproduced; the script was subsequently extensively rewritten by Alvin T. Sapinsley and aired as “Last Rites for a Dead Druid.”
