The Skull (1965)
Summary: A collector comes into possession of the skull of the Marquis de Sade and finds that it is possessed by the sadist’s evil spirit.

Bloch: “I was somewhat surprised when “The Skull of the Marquis de Sade” was purchased for filming; it seemed a slight premise for a full-length feature. But I must say that the screenplay seemed to hold up very well. Naturally, the presence of a highly competent British cast added greatly to my own enjoyment; it was, in my opinion, a well-done minor effort in the genre.”

Category: Motion Picture
Script: Screenplay by Milton Subotsky adapted from Bloch’s short story “The Skull of the Marquis de Sade.”
