Torture Garden (1967)
Summary: An anthology of four horror stories with a wraparound involving people who visit a fairground haunted-house attraction show, hosted by Dr. Diabolo.
  • “Enoch:” a playboy falls under the spell of his uncle's cat and must repeatedly kill in order to satisfy the animal's craving for human heads.
  • “Terror Over Hollywood:” a Hollywood starlet discovers that her co-stars’ robotic performances are just that.
  • “Mr. Steinway:” a possessed grand piano becomes jealous of its owner’s new love interest and takes action.
  • “The Man Who Collected Poe:” an avid collector of all things Edgar Allan Poe resorts to murder in order to possess the ultimate Poe collectible.

Bloch: “In the first story, I objected strenuously to introducing a visible familiar in the form of a cat; I thought I’d won that fight, but when the picture went into production, lo and behold, a cat had been written in.”—The Robert Bloch Companion
